Hello,
I saw some mushrooms in my garden that I haven’t seen before and was hoping if I can get help identifying them. I want to make sure they’re not harmful. I live in Central Point, OR.

Thank you for reaching out to Extension. I am sorry to say we are unable to answer mushroom identification questions due to liability and the danger of being incorrect. Mushrooms are difficult to identify, even for someone with experience. Many small details must be examined to determine exactly the identification of the mushrooms. Mistaken identification can result in intestinal upset and even death if eaten. It is not safe for us to make a determination of the identity of mushrooms.
