Huge tree that sheds tiny spikey balls in the spring #868464

Can you identify this tree that sheds thousands of really tiny spikey balls in the spring? Thousands of them blanket my front walkway and car.

We would need better photos to identify your tree for sure.
It looks like it may be a Honey Locust and maybe the fallen things are from spent flowers. (which wouldn't really be 'spikey', which we can't make out in your photos.)
