I live in Hamilton area (zone 6b) and purchased a needle palm. How do I care for it in the winter? Can you be as specific as u can, I want it to last as it was a bit pricey.

Hamilton County Ohio

Expert Response

The links below both indicate that the needle palm typically survives winter temperatures to five degrees below zero.  Both also recommend planting in a location sheltered from winter winds, and being careful to choose a site that will provide space enough for mature size of the tree.
