Diagnosis cannot be made from a picture. However, a water problem is the most likely cause of yellowed leaves. Too much water can cause the yellow leaves and allow fungal or bacterial diseases to thrive as well, which can cause the dark spots. While technically not declared invasive in Michigan, English Ivy is considered invasive by many people and is usually harder to get rid of than to save. If you would like a more definite diagnosis or testing, you can contact the MSU diagnostic lab at https://www.canr.msu.edu/pestid/.
