I didn't see Gingko trees listed among your fire resistant (FireWise approved?) trees. I had always heard that they were indeed fire resistant. I'm negotiating with my HOA to do some planting in our FireWise community, and I would like to include a male columnar Gingko. If indeed you do regard the Gingko as fire resistant, please let me know ASAP, so that I can pass this information onto my HOA. THANKS!

Hi William,
Yes, Ginkgo biloba trees are fire resistant. There may be an issue with regards to how adaptable they are growing here; we don't know of any mature established ginkgo trees here locally. They may be particularly slow growing here as well.
