I have planted conifer saplings from around the world and can't afford to lose them. Grasses and weeds are taking them over. What herbicide do I use to eradicate them without killing the young saplings? How and when do I apply it? Any special instructions?

Hi Scott,
MSU Extension has a bulletin that provides a comprehensive overview of controlling grasses and weeds in Christmas Tree Farms. Because you have a variety of conifer plantings, the same recommendations would apply (despite them not being harvested for the holiday).
