Hello,
I am looking for some advice on planting some trees for privacy.
I planted a prairie fire crab apple in the center of the garden (pics attached) last year. We want to plant 2 juniper Moonglow and 2 arborvitae’s for a privacy hedge. I am worried about the spacing, only 1/2 the edge is our yard and I’m worried the crab apple will eventually grow into the arborvitae’s. I am sending pics to reference.
The juniper Moonglow I was planning to have 1 up front (first orange pole) on each side I think about 6 feet in front of crab apple,
Then 2 large smaragard emerald green arborvitae’s 20” apart from each other on each side, set back from the tree about 6ft (2 poles in back on each side). Should we skip the arborvitae’s and just do junipers? I am in love with the junipers and don’t want to lose those. I wish we had more room we could move the emeralds back further. Will the crab apple canopy grow into the emeralds?
Thanks for your help.

Despite your photos and description I am unable to determine how the tree and shrubs fit into the space given. Below are the full grown size of the plants you have:
*Prairie fire crabapple 15-20’ tall and wide.
*Moonglow juniper 20' tall x 8' wide.
*Emerald green arborvitae 10-15’ tall x 3-4’ wide.
i hope the size information gives you what is needed to measure out and plan your privacy hedge.
