Weed invading lawn #868238

This weed started last summer during the drought. It has spread into 4 lawns around my house and keeps spreading more aggressively. It is about 1 to two inches tall with small flower - see photos Please identify and instructions on how to eradicate it. Thank you.

This looks like corn speedwell (veronica arvensis).

The best defense against this annual weed is to boost your turf with fertilization and regular watering. Because the plant is an annual, pulling plants before they set seed may reduce the future population.
