Hi Reatha,
Thanks for your patience as I’m managing a backlog of questions and a busy field season.
The nearest professional pruner that I’m aware of is a company in Springfield/Eugene: Artistic Arborists <personal data hidden>). I don’t know whether they come to the coast, but you could give them a call and see.
Another option would be to look for an accredited landscape management or similar company to take care of your tree. You could consider looking for a company on the Better Business Bureau website (https://www.bbb.org/) or a similar site to find an accredited company.
If you’d like to give pruning a try yourself, we have several great resources on the subject:
Training and Pruning your Home Orchard (Publication)
Pruning to restore an old, neglected apple tree (Publication)
Pruning with the Pros (video series)
And if you have specific questions about pruning, feel free to send those to the Lincoln County Master Gardeners. They staff a Plant Clinic where they answer community questions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-12. You can reach them at<personal data hidden> x 57414 or <personal data hidden>.
I hope this helps!
Best,
