We need your help for a Native American Garden Event #867883
Asked May 10, 2024, 12:23 PM EDT
I'm with Marshall Public Schools. I oversee the American Indian Parent Advisory Group (AIPAC), and we are hoping you can help us with a native gardening event!
We have ordered many plants from Prairie Moon Nursery, and they are beginning to arrive now!
Is there any chance you could provide an overview for Native American students who volunteer to come to the event along with some of their family members? The AIPAC consists of several adult community members. Some or most of the committee members would also be present if they are able. We would do the event either at MHS or another school facility that is available at that time.
At this time, we are available on Wednesday, May 22 at 4:00 (our preferred date) or possibly Wednesday, May 29 at 4:00. Do either of those dates/times work for you? I will need to keep the plants alive all of this time! :)

Expert Response
Thank you for your question. This sounds like a great project. Unfortunately our group consists of Master Gardeners scattered all over Minnesota. For this reason we are unable to provide a presence at events. We would suggest that you contact the Lyon County Extension Office. They should be in a better position to assist you. See:

Good luck with your activity. Thanks for reaching out to us.
