Do I need to worry about cicadas this year #867725

I like in Colesville (20904), do I need to watch out for a cicada emergence or is the mass brood not in my area? If I do need to be concerned about when will the emergence take place? I have lots of trees in pots that I can take into my garage to avoid damage during an emergence.

No, periodical cicadas are not emerging in Maryland this year, with the very small exception of a limited area of St. Mary's County. No plant protection is needed.
