Please help me identify this additional perenial in my native garden.
The "clump" is about 1 foot in diameter and the roots go out very densely at least another foot - trying to take over.
Should I just let the plants war among themselves to see who wins?

I am sorry but I cannot identify the plant from your photos. However, you have two choices. You can wait and see if it blooms and is something you want and then decide. Or, if it is as aggressive as this seems to be, remove it now before it has a chance to take over the area. From experience, that would be my personal choice.
