What are the best fish to stock a 1/2 acre one with for eating in Michigan?

Thank you for using Michigan State University Extension Ask Extension with your pond question. Pan fish are the best choice for small ponds. Bluegill and sunfish. They are better able to tolerate the warmer temperatures and lower oxygen levels often present in smaller waterbodies.
