I am writing because I let my arugula bolt, and now the plants are super tall with white flowers. However, they seem to be taking the sun away from a medium-sized rosemary bush now. I'd like to protect the rosemary while also collecting the arugula seeds (which I've never done). Any tips for collecting the seeds? And for protecting the rosemary, which is turning yellow?

Can you share a photo of the planting (or at least the rosemary)? It's unlikely the rosemary would develop yellowing leaves just from a bit of shade from a lanky arugula near it, so something else might be going on. Is the rosemary being kept damp, or is it allowed to dry out a bit between waterings?
You will have to let the arugula seed pods mature (turn lightbrown and brittle/dry) before cutting them down, but we do not have information specific to collecting their seeds (such as how long the seed pod maturation will take). You might be able to cover the pods with a fine-mesh bag to catch any that might pop out of a mature pod before you can get to them. The nonprofit organization Seed Savers Exchange has a little bit of information about collecting and storing arugula seed.
