Can you please me help identify this plant. Are they toxic an invasive? I have 2 of them growing in my backyard. Thanks

Expert Response

The plant pictured resembles Poison Hemlock, a widespread and somewhat common invasive species. You can use the images and information in the linked pages to compare traits to your plant and determine how you want to remove it (mechanically or chemically). It is toxic if ingested, and skin contact might cause dermatitis (a trait common to other members of this carrot family), so wear protective clothing if pulling or digging it out.
