pollinator shade pocket garden #867315

Asked May 06, 2024, 6:41 PM EDT

Hello! I have a grant for a pollinator pocket garden and am planning to revitalize a raised bed garden that the previous owners let go to weed. I have been researching shade plants (where the bed is located) and need advice on if what I have chosen is rabbit and deer resistant, and if not, how best to protect the garden. Additionally, if there is a best layout for a 12' x 10' box, any advice would be appreciated. Expert Response

You will need to look up each plant individually regarding shade tolerance and  deer/rabbit resistance. For example: columbine is shade tolerant and deer/rabbit resistant-a good choice! Here are some general references on plants and garden plans for pocket gardens.
