Discoloration on new oak leaves #867252

Hello, we have a newly planted Nuttall oak and when it leafed out some of the leaves had no coloring.

Wow! - Neat photo! It looks like they are just some variegated leaves. We are not sure exactly why they came out like this. It could have been some minor damage to the leaf buds when they were forming. It is possible that it could be a virus but to our knowledge there isn't a virus that shows these symptoms for Oaks. There wouldn't be a cure for it anyways, so you can just wait and see if more emerge. 

The leaves won't change back to green so you can either just pluck those off or leave them alone. If it is a virus it is already through the tree so removing the leaves wouldn't prevent it from spreading. 

If other symptoms arise or you notice more leaves, feel free to send us more photos.
