I have some roundup ready duel action for my sidewalks but I built a flower bed for annuals so my question is if I spray the grass and put 6” of soil on it will the round up kill my annuals when the roots get to it? It says not to plant anything for 4 months if you use this weed killer. Otherwise I will have to buy the regular stuff. Thoughts?

Thank you for reaching out to ask2.extension.
If you are putting the planters where there is grass, the best method is to dig up the grass and not use the herbicide. I would not plant over the roundup. You could lose what you have planted.
The instructions and information for the herbicides should be followed for best results.
