What is the least toxic way to kill ticks in our lawn?

Tick numbers are especially high in Michigan
now. They are more prevalent in grassy areas. Wearing long pants and/or applying an insect repellent can help prevent tick bites. If you use a perimeter spray treatment, these will kill most insects. However, if you
apply in an area with few or no flowering plants, there will be a
reduced risk for damage to pollinators.
