I am interested in eradicating the vegetation in the stream that runs through my property but do not want to harm the aquatic life with glyphosate. The vegetation chokes off the stream flow and leads to bank erosion. Pictures are provided. I have looked into pond pesticides but want to make sure it will kill the vegetation in the pictures because it is rather expensive. This vegetation has an extensive root system that is difficult to remove manually. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank You.

You are right, glyphosate can not be used safely in aquatic areas. There may be other aquatic-ready products but we would refer you to specialists who can help with stream health and stormwater managment as all land in Maryland is within the watershed and eventually drains into the Chesapeake Bay.
In Harford County you have program called Harford Streams that should be able to assist:
