Can you identify this caterpillar? We have millions, appeared very suddenly. I'm not thinking Gypsy moth, but "could" be. Let's ask the experts!! Go Green!

That is the caterpillar of Spongy Moth (Lymantria dispar). Yes, an older common name for that insect was Gypsy Moth.
