curbside salt tolerant but edible leaves/etc #867146

Asked May 05, 2024, 8:28 PM EDT

Is there a Michigan native tree I can plant in Taylor MI that can handle the salt plows and meet the "standards" of planting tree on easement? If not, what is best Michigan native tree to plant in these circumstances. FYI: I am willing to donate my entire front yard to Michigan State for this purpose. Clover lawn? Wild flower lawn? Let's start this new trend vs grass
