Hello,
I’m having progressively bad issues with parts of my Lawn. Just few years ago, we had healthy lawn. But the past few springs, there are areas in the yard, after the snow melts, no grass will not grow. These areas just look like bare soil. Example pics are attached

These web sites may be helpful. Also try digging up a bare spot and see if there are grubs underneath that will turn into beetles in mid-summer.
