Transplanting daffodil bulbs #867095
Asked May 05, 2024, 12:20 PM EDT
I have daffodils that I thinned after they bloomed this spring, and plan to pass on the bulbs to my daughters. I dug up the bulbs and cut off the greens, leaving 2” above the bulb. It wasn’t practical to directly transplant them due to timing, but could I transplant the bulbs within several weeks, or should I wait til fall? If I wait, should I let them sun-dry or keep moist?

Ideally you should wait until fall. Be sure to clean off excess dirt from the bulbs and store them in a cool dry place until fall.
