Tree id-which oak? #867032

Admittedly oaks are difficult to ID. If it's possible, can you please help me ID this oak -or come close? If more information is needed, please let me kmow. Many thank yous.

Other than belonging to the red oak group (a group of multiple species, like the white oak group), we can't concretely ID the tree. Pin Oak (Quercus palustris) would be our best guess given the branching pattern and the fact that they are one of the most commonly-planted of the red oak group in urban/suburban environments. You can use the ID key(s) for twigs or foliage on Virginia Tech's dendrology page to try to get a more certain ID.
