Is it too early in the season for the weekend of May 4 & 5 to feed the roses at my residence?. i always use Bayer's systemic concentrate. We live at 6,000 feet on the east face of Lakewood's Green Mountain. The roses get full sun in the morning and early afternoon and are shaded by the house after that.

Thank you for your question. This is the perfect time to apply the first fertilization to your roses! The Denver Rose Society recommends monthly fertilizing mid-May to mid-August. Water deeply before applying fertilizer.
