Expert Response

Hi Madge,
Thanks for contacting us!

You have indeed found a nasty weed.  Nutsedge (sometimes referred to as nut grass) is very challenging to control and your options typically are to either dig it out (including all the "nuts" and rhizomes) or using a selective herbicide to eradicate it.

The document I've attached has more information on how to control this weed and we hope it helps you.

If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us at <personal data hidden> or by calling<personal data hidden>.

Thanks again for contacting us!
