I’m getting ready to do my annual May pulling garlic mustard. LOL
The garlic mustard is now up with the white flower at its tip.
Can I just break off the garlic mustard at ground-level or do I have to pull the roots out also?
I just toss it aside after pulling
I am hoping you say it is OK to just break off and toss aside.
If I remember correctly once the garlic mustard flower turns to seed I have to bag the garlic mustard.

Removal of garlic mustard must include both the plant and the root. It is essential to remove prior to the bloom developing into a seed pod. Garlic mustard that has gone to seed must be burned or bagged. Below is a link to additional information regarding garlic mustard.
