How to kill creeping Charlie mixed with morning glories?
How to deal with grass with long roots in my flower gardens? I have tried- Preen, putting cardboard down. Also the ground mesh with mulch over it- however it grows underneath then pokes through.

Do you want to eliminate both the violet and the morningglory? Also, what are your desirable plants in the area?
For killing grass in your flower gardens I would recommend using a product like Grass B Gon (Ortho), this and similar products will only harm/kill grass/monocot species and will not harm most flowering plants (with some exceptions like lilies, which are monocots, like grass). Always read and follow all labeled directions to increase efficacy and maximize environmental and personal safety.
