Hi,
We lost our mature front yard ornamental plum tree in the ice storm. We would like to replace it with something that is pretty, provides shade, is good for the neighborhood and doesn't drop seed pods or fruit. The spot we would plant is in full sun and about 6 ft from the sidewalk.
Any advice is appreciated! Thank You!

Florida dogwood is not too tall, tolerates direct sun, has lovely flowers and manageable fruit. This is just one of many possibilities.
