Is it safe to put garden beds over a septic system? We'd like to plant vegetables and herbs in the garden beds, but not sure if the septic system could contaminate the edible plants. Thank you!

We do not recommend a garden beds over the septic system. Effluent can contaminate root crops, and tilling disturbs the drain lines unintentionally.
