Is Safer Brand Diatomaceous Earth safe to use around lakes and gardens??

Hi Tom,

It’s basically silica, which exists in the ground, and no precautions are listed about use around water. 

I wouldn’t breathe it in. It can be irritating to your eyes, skin and respiratory system.

As to this particular brand, read the label and follow any precautions. The label is the law.

Thank, I want to make sure it doesn’t hurt fish in the lake. They are all over the sidewalk to the lake and are very irritating!!
