Meyer Lemon Tree #832003

Asked May 25, 2023, 12:30 PM EDT

We have a Meyer Lemon Tree in a pot. The leaves are turning yellow with green spots. The young lemons are green to start, but turn yellow when they are very small, and then start dropping off. What is the problem and what can we do about it.

Expert Response

Thank you for your question.  There could be several reasons for the yellowing and leaf drop.  I don't have any information about their environment or your care of it, but this article explains what they need, so you might be able to discern what it needs done differently:  https://today.oregonstate.edu/news/pucker-it%E2%80%99s-time-talk-lemons
I hope this helps.  Good luck!

Hi,

We need help finding a trellis.

We need a sturdy garden trellis that will bridge between 2 raised beds. We need it to be 4' wide x 2-4' long x 6-7' tall. Width is the measurement taken from the point of entry in one box to the point of entry of the box next to it. My boxes are 2' tall, so I need the trellis to sink down about a foot for stability and still give me at least 6' of clearance. We would like it to travel along each bed ideally 3', but we can be flexible at 2'- 4'. The purpose is to hold squash, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Do you have any suggestions for a product or a solution you could recommend? Thank you, Jane Phone:<personal data hidden>.

Thank you for any help.

Best wishes,

Unfortunately, we can't recommend commercial outlets, but one of the garden outlets such as Al's or Tony's might know a product.  I did a quick web search for "trellis builders", and there are at least a dozen of them locally.  With such specific measurements, you're probably going to need one custom made.  Good luck!
