yellowing locust tree

My locust tree leaves are yellowing and falling for the past 2weeks, which seems a little early to me. I think it is a black locust as it does not have thorns on the trunk or branches. I don't see any aphid webbing. The soil is clay and the base of the tree has vinca ground cover. I am just wondering if the tree is stressed and what I can do to help? thank you, Kelli Buresh

Custom Charges/Profit margin

My family has a 120 acre farm in central Iowa. Recently my father died and we are continuing a relationship with two brothers to plant, fertilize, harvest and haul crops to market. Last year was a corn crop; this year it was soy beans. For a number of years the brothers charged my father "custom charges" based on the Iowa State University Ag Dept for their farming services My question is two fold: a) Is there a profit margin built in to the charges? And b) Is it common practice to also pay a "management fee" in addition to the custom charges? My family wants to fairly compensate the two brothers who had a long term relation in working for my father. Thank you for your help.

Horse Saddling Experience

I had an experience recently that I have never encountered and had never heard of, I wonder if you have any data on it or can shed some light? I saddled my Rocky Mtn horse the same as I always have (except he was tied to the rail and often I just have him lose on the end of the rope)after I had his cinch up (not snugged down yet) he collapsed to the ground. I untied him and he rolled to his side for a brief period (a minute or so) and then was able to stand. He never lost consciousness and he rode fine the rest of the day. He has never had any issues before. I was able to tighten the cinch before I rode off and it certainly was NOT tight when he went down. Thanks for your comments.
