My big azaleas were pruned in early April. They were around seven feet tall and very wide. They were partly in shade. I don't know their age. Nothing special is done to the soil except yearly mulching and watering. It's fairly humid. I adamantly told the gardener to prune them by no more than one-third. They were cut to under five feet tall and stripped of leaves. I hope you got the before and after pictures. They were mulched so the soil is damp but now are completely exposed to the sun. Some branches were cut partly through then torn the rest of the way. Will the plants survive? If so, when can they be pruned again; many branches are overcrowded and twisted. Thank you very much for your help.

I have some beautiful plants--hosta?--that look like they're being eaten by bugs, though I don't see any bugs on them. The leaf tips are badly chewed up but there are also long slits in the leaves that makes them look like something is burrowing into them (see the attached picture). Can you please tell me how to save them? Thank you very much.

soil mix to grow oak trees

I have almost 20 oak seedlings in my backyard I want to transplant to rootraper bags so they can grow for a year and then be planted in places they live a full life.

What soil mix and ratios should I use?
We think these seedlings are for red oaks and/or white oaks (last year 2 large oaks over 150 yrs old came down and these are offsrping--we were not sure if red or white)

Pls advise as soon as possible...

Thank you!
