Looking for "Peggy Janes," a type of clothing

Hello--I was reading a book published in 1922. The young heroine found a trunk full of clothes, including three pairs of Peggy Janes (which would have made her Aunt Edie shriek with laughter). I cannot find any references to an article of clothing called a Peggy Jane. Can anyone help? Thank you very much.

Little brown bug

I've noticed this bug on my nightstand. Nothing sweet or good to eat. Doesn't get into my wine. No bites on me. I do have cats and dogs. I sprayed a little. Always on my nightstand no where else.

Dying Shrub

I have had this shrub for 10 years, and within two weeks this shrub went from green to brown (dying). I peeled back some of the bark, to see if there was some life. It was very hard to scrape with a dark hard like sap. When I looked down as the base of the shrub the same dark sap is dried up and hardened as well and the branches are are just snapping off . I don’t want the other shrubs to die .

Knockout Roses Rosette Disease?

Do my knockout roses have the Rosette virus?
We have had the roses for about 3 years and they have always had beautiful blooms. The roses never produce blooms this season. The blooms tend to abort and never fully bloom. They are also looking like stalks and have more thorns than usual.
We have sprayed regularly for fungus, mites, thrip, etc without any improvement.
We live on the west side of Houston and have noticed many rose bushes looking like ours in the neighborhood. Typically they are all full of blooms.
Thanks!

Pepper Plant leaves curled up / some dark discoloration

Novice gardener here Smiling I planted a variety of pepper plants (anaheim, habanero, serrano etc), and they all have this issue of leaves curling inward or sometimes outward. On top of that, it looks like more leaves are falling off. The pictures show some seedlings I planted as well as 2 mature plants. I also started noticing that some of the leaves on my pepper plants (in both planters) have a dark discoloration and eventually fall off. I think I was overwatering for a while (everyday). I know I have overwatered + possibly over fertilized and am in the process of letting the soil dry out. I've looked for pests and seen some whiteflies and tiny spider looking things. I have tried neem and a soap spray and fertilize every 2 weeks.

What could be the problem? overwatering? Ca deficiency? fungus?
