Pine Needle Disease I have a large number of Pine trees (Norway, Black Hills, White pine, Australian, and Blue spruce) as wind break and privacy around my house. Upon some research i believe I have Needle Blight or some other fungus. Is there a recommended fungicide to spray these trees with, and is there a local arborist who would be willing to consult to try to save these trees, as I'm losing 1 a year? My research shows that this is the time of year to try to attack the problem. I just want to make sure we treat for the right problem. More photos are available

what to do when

It looks as if my pine trees are sick, they started turning brown after the super wet late spring and early summer rains we had .I live in northwest Ohio and this problem has spread to the tree next to it,that tree also started in the middle then spread up and down .there is still some green on them ,but I really dont want to loose them.Do you have any suggestions?

Several Thyme plants bought this spring looking dead now!

I live in a housing addition & have volunteered to help care for the plants at the entrance. Two ladies already have been doing it but since they know I took the Master Gardening class this year The one was asking mewhat I think caused their Thyme plants to be brown & dead looking with just a bit of green at the edge.
Then 2 days ago the other lady told me she had been fertilizing them once a week
in the beginning to get them going. She said the nurserys fertilize daily.I just said if they do I,m sure it's a much deluted amount. Most fertilizers don't recommend applications more than every 4 to 6 weeks & she was aware of that.

Are buckeyes edible for humans or squirrels?

I've always heard that buckeyes are poisonous to humans and don't know if that is a myth. The squirrels continue to pull the soon-to-be ripe buckeyes from my tree, chew through half of the nut or barely at all, then leave the mess in my lawn. I haven't noticed any vomiting or dead squirrels yet.

I was doing fall clean in the tomato bed. There was a mushroom looking fungus in the bed under the tomato plants. There is organic soil in this bed with addition of leaves every fall. Is it alright to eat the tomatoes I harvested from the plants in that bed? Can I plant garlic in that bed for the fall? or ground cover in fall and peas in the spring? Thanks for your help.
