Hello, we found this dead in our yard and have seen others around. They are huge and terrifying. Are you able to identify it? We saved it in a plastic container. It is about 2 inches long. Thank you!

My daughter would love to do a 4H poultry project with a few silkie hens from our family farm in Indiana. However, we live in Montgomery County, OH where chickens are not permitted. We have a spacious yard, and could easily have a small coop. I was told 4H projects usually supersede city ordinances, but wanted to check and see if this is correct before I encourage her.

This is a medical question. About 12 years ago, I was diagnosed with Meniere's Disease in my left ear. First Dr. Wm. Turner inserted a shunt to drain excess fluid from the inner ear. That seemed to work, as the frequency of episodes decreased dramatically. However, in Oct. 2016, I woke up one morning COMPLETELY DEAF. I had not done anything differently (no accidents, etc.) to warrant that. Besides not being able to hear, I have had constant sounds playing in my head ever since. It becomes worse at about 3:30 pm each day. I have musical sounds going in the left part of my head, and sounds like an announcer and a noisy crowd in the right side (I refer to it as Mel Allen and the old-time Yankees fans {as I lived for several years in the NY metro area}. While Dr. Turner used steroid injections and shots to restore about 50% of the hearing in my right ear, he did a cochlear implant in the left. I still cannot hear clearly on the left side, but he said that that takes time (surgery was Jan 2017). Does anyone have any experience with successfully treating such an anomaly (the continual music and 'organized sounds'), or am I destined to be basically deaf and continually aggravated by music and organized sounds for the rest of my life? Before he did the cochlear surgery, Dr. Turner had an MRI of my head and neck done; he said everything was normal, and he was baffled by the "music" and the "recognizable noises," as neither fit the diagnosis of tinnitus.

I was referred to you guys by a coworker. I have a bunny rabbit that I am no longer able to keep and wondering if you have a program or something that I could donate him to. My daughter does not want him to go to just anybody. She wants him to go to someone who will take care of him love him and play with him. Squirrels eating my garden

How do I keep squirrels out of my tomatoes? I have fenced them in, they climb the fence and carry them out. Other than hooking electricity up to the fence, I'm not winning. Mine are late coming in as we had a lot of rain and then really hot. I have about 4 different kinds of tomatoes and I have yet to get a ripe one other than the cherry and grape ones. Next year there will be a fence and top on my garden. I just some advice for this year to get finished out. I planted all Bonnie plants this year because of sweet potato plants that did so well last year.

Thank you,

Dixie Kinsler
