Encouraging growing clover to enrich the soil and provide a habitat for bees and monarchs, not to chop the growth until late September when monarchs have finished migrating through our area. Monarchs and bees are needed for pollination. Encouraging growth of milkweed in areas not farmable. Example around highway exits, along the roadways on government ground.

Is there any repellant for the small aggressive squirrels that will do anything to get to bird feeders. They have seriously torn one screen and did a small tear on another screen. They are trying to get to the bird seed on my screened-in porch.
I have a Ruby Falls Redbud tree that was planted last fall. It has done well. I just noticed that at the top of the tree, there is a white web-like covering over a small section of leaves and underneath the leaves inside the web are what looks like little worms. How should I treat it? And what do you think it is? Thank you for your help.

I am volunteering in a Master Gardner project involving flower/plant beds. We have had the soil tested and results came back fine. However, the soil is hard clay and very difficult to work. I want to make recommendations to them on the best way to amend the soil. Any advice/suggestions is appreciated. Thank you!

My daughter bought 2 palm trees this summer from a local nursery. They came without any info sheet and nursery could not tell her what kind of palm it was. She kept them around her pool in direct sun and they are doing well. She wants to try to house them over the winter. Any information about how to care for them would be appreciated. They are 6-7 feet tall and in containers.

I have lost several mature elm trees and need to know how to save the rest. This began last year when the leaves started to fall in early summer. I live in northern Ohio and do not know how to diagnose or treat the problem. Local landscapers have no knowledge of the matter. I would appreciate your help in saving these beautiful trees. I will send pictures if it would be helpful.
Has there been an evaluation of the effect of the recent low temperature (14 degrees here)on peach orchards in Ohio? I believe almost all if not all of the blossoms are dead in my orchard which is near Milan, OH.
