Hi! I have a lamb that is 48 hours old. It's eyes are watering a lot and the lids look extremely puffy. I'm pretty sure it's entropion, it also appears to have the start of pink eye. I put Vetericyn in both eyes. Is there a way to treat the eyelid at home that is noninvasive? I've heard you can inject 1 mL of penicillin into the lower eyelid? It's New Years Eve and our farm vet is going to be tough to get out- not to mention a huge charge for being an "emergency" visit. The lamb is a twin born that has to be bottle fed due to its mothers udder and teats being so engorged that they can't find or even get their mouths around the teats. I am milking the mother and they have only had her colostrum and milk. This lamb Weighed 9 pounds at birth. Just giving you as much info as possible. Also, how severely would this effect her vision if I had vet come out in 2 days? I've never had this eye problem on our farm before! Thanks, kristen

What options do I have for improving drainage within a wooded area inside Punderson State Park? The area is well elevated in comparison to nearby Pine Lake. I hoped to use drywells rather than numerous lengthy surface channels. I dug a test whole three and a half feet deep. It was all clay, transitioning from wet clay to a harder dryer sort at the bottom. After a rainstorm, the hole filled with water that is not draining at any appreciable rate. Do I just need to dig deeper?

I am looking for ways to keep a bat colony from returning to my 200 year old barn. Th structure would be very difficult to bat proof so I am hoping there is a way to simply make it less attractive to the bats. (Fan, lighting, ......) any advice would be much appreciated!
I have a farmer who will plow 20 acres for me but neither of us know the going rate to pay him. Do you have any ideas as to a fair rate per acre or however you measure? He has a John Deere 4420 and will be pulling a 3 bottom plow that he is confident will move quickly through these fields that have not been plowed for the past 20 years. No brush or small trees as the land has been mowed every year. He is planning on plowing 8 inches deep. I apologize if I am telling you too much information. Sincerely, Paul Clemens
