Asparagus
What do I do with new spears that emerge in early October? I cut the ferns back to ground level about 10 days ago and now new spears are shooting up rapidly. These plants were planted 2015 from a tray of established ones that said they should produce harvest crops in 2 years (2016?).

Mystery pasture weed.
I would like to identify this weed that grows in the shady to partly shady parts of my pasture. It gets to 7 ft tall and has 4 fins that go all the way down the tall stem. The plant is herbatious, and has yellow daisy like flowers on it when it blooms in the late summer.

Leland Cyprus
I have a Leland Cyprus beside my deck that has outgrown it's location. I would like to 'top' it and let it grow back. It is probably 30 feet high now and I was thinking of cutting it back to about 10 feet. That would leave little greenery on the tree but I was hoping it would rejuvenate. Is this reasonable? Any suggestions on how much to cut off top?

Bird Feathers
Sometime during daytime 10/6 a bird was caught and completely defeathered and body totally consumed by something. Location right next to our house, middle of day. Nothing was seen or out of ordinary untiI came upon pile of bird feathers, no bones, skin, or anything. Can you tell by photo what animal would do this during daylight? We suspect a fox? Coyote?
