Tree Identification
I am having an invasive species which I first thought was a Bradford Pear.
Leaf stems are alternate and form a.'spike' on which the small 1-3 inch leaves appear. Leaves are very similar, but smaller than the Bradford Pear.
Sa[lings are appearing on south facing hillside

Weeping Cherry growing wide but not tall
My miniature weeping cherry label says tree is supposed to grow 12' - 18'. After 5 years, it has grown no taller than 4' but limbs are extremely long. Since the the tree is so short the ends of limbs are lying on the ground. The trunk is very thick, limbs are too. It seems very healthy in every other respect, no since of disease or pests. It's bloomed every year but now seems to put all it's energy into limb growth so only bloomed at tips of limbs the past 2 years. I have never pruned it as I thought it might put more energy into limb growth instead of height. Soil is clay with poor drainage but all my other trees - flowering plums, kousa dogwood, crepe myrtle, quansan? cherry, maples and willows - are doing great. One of my flowering plums was planted at same time several yards away and is doing well. I currently don't have photos but can take some if needed. Have any ideas what's going on and what I should do?

mystery bamboo
last year I fertilized some trees and directed some water runoff down a bank.
the bamboo that has been there has never spread before. (15 years) there has been some new growth but never spreading. recently I have noticed a lot of growth and bigger bamboo. I dug some up and from the root system it is a runner.
is it possible to have a runner be dormant due to lack of water? and what I did just got it all excited to grow? thanks for any advice

Weeping cherry not growing
Tim, here are some photos you requested. 1st in front of my house - you can see how short it is. 2nd is from other side. I can't mow or weedeat around it because the branches bend when they reach the ground and spread all over the ground. I don't know how to prune it because it's not growing like any tree I've ever had. It was about 2' tall sapling with limbs shaped to grow from left and right when I bought it. All the other trees looked the same. 3rd is trunk up to limbs.

Strange Caterpillar ID
Found this large green caterpillar with one yellow rear horn and false eyes in back and 4 black/yellow/red horns in front with tiny black spots over it. A diligent Google search turned up no matches - it was in a Tulip Tree.
