I have a birch tree that is probably 10 years old that is yellowing & has been doing this for the last 2-3 years. The leaves go out to the end of the branch so I don’t think it’s dying from the branches inward. It has thinned out a great deal over the summer as it did in the previous couple of years & it drops leaves very early beginning in late spring & early summer. There are 2 birch trees within 10 to 20 feet of this tree that show no signs of this as far as I can tell. I had a fellow from Davey Tree come out last year & he did a root treatment. I saw no difference this year so I called him again to see if we needed to do that again & have not heard anything back after several contacts. He did say he saw no birch borer evidence & he was going to see about getting some manganese for the tree. Do you have any suggestions on what I should do to save this tree? Thank you very much.
