ash tree disease

How can we save our trees from the ash tree disease? they are just beginning to show signs. our neighbors have trees where the bark is completely off and I think they will cut them down.

these trees have been on the property for 100 years planted by our ancestors and we'd like to save them if possible.

thank you.

aluminum sulfate treatment of small muddy pond in clay soil in upstate NY

the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension article, SCS-2013-02, detailed, wonderfully, the use of six, "one gallon jars", to calculate correct amount/weight in lbs/acre-foot, of aluminum sulfate to treat the turbidity by removing suspended clay particles from a pond, using actually calculated acre-feet of the pond.
my question is:
A) if I were to use "one quart jars", instead of "one gallon jars", how I would need to change the formula to come up with the correct answer?
B) Would the "tablespoons of slurry to accomplish 12 hours to clear jar", still be a ratio of 1 to 30, to "the rate of Alum to apply to pond(lbs/acre-foot)"?

I want to make "one quart of slurry" by adding the one teaspoon of Alum to clear water. I then will add varying numbers of tablespoons of the slurry to the five one quart test jars, and having one other test jar with NO slurry added.

further info:
1) pond redug by bulldozer and then refilled naturely in clay soil four years ago, but has never cleared to the extent that the old 25 year old pond was clear.
2) pond is basically a rectangle 120 feet long, with a width of 45 feet, and a depth of 4 to 5 feet; slope is rapid on one 120 foot side, but more gradual on the remaining side.
3) ph is 7.6-8.0 and alkaline is 80-120, so is great candidate for using aluminum sulfate.

thankyou, please email or phone

Hi. about 4 years ago, we started having problems with anthracnose on our blueberries, due to the wet weather. Now, even with a dry year we have problems with it. We do the cultural practices, pruning, etc. but it doesn't seem to help much. Our policy is to not spray when berries are on (we are U-pick). My question is, can we knock back the anthracnose innoculum by using a copper Octanoate spray after harveston the plants? Would it be benificial to spray on the ground also? (lots of infected fruit drops). Thanks for your input. Tom. TLC Blueberry.

goat at my new grape vines we was starting

We just bought some grape vines to start and we started them in a bucket cause it was to cold to put in the ground. We was about to put them in the ground and my goat got loose and ate the leave off the plant. I was wondering if they will regrow back or is it a lose cause now. If not what should I do to reassure they will come back. Thanks Patty
