I live in upstate new york up near Albany. I have not been able to find anyone in NYS to guide me. We all know that bedbugs crawl on ceilings, and love wood. But I have discovered that they are able to spin webs. I have seen a large number of them that descended down on me in my living room. Without thinking I just sprayed the web with an ineffective spray. All it did was disperse them.. I cant seem to catch one large enough to send if off for someone to dissect. Where would I find a place to send it too if and when I catch one?

A "Crimson Cloud" Thornless hawthorn has been growing along a verge in my daughter's neighborhood for at least 30 years. It is stressed by its location; close proximity to paved walk and roadway and by "pruning" by the utility company to keep it out of overhead wires. It has taken on a shrub-like appearance. However, it is still a pleasure to see in flower and in winter. Are there any measures we can take to improve its chances of survival?

There are several large mushrooms on a neighbor 's lawn. The distinctive features are the large size and the outer surface that looks to me like a human brain. The picture shows a USA Quarter that I placed on the surface of the mushroom. I would like to identify the fungus, and determine if it is toxic. Last year I identified a large Fly Agaric on the same lawn and recommended that it be removed and put in the trash because young children are frequently playing on the lawn.

Hi. I live in upstate NY and have a large back yard that borders the woods. For many months, there has been a group of three female wild turkeys that come out of the woods to eat some of the bird seed that I put out. Initially, one of the turkeys was a youth but now all three are the same size. I am pretty sure they are all females because their faces are blue. They were always together but suddenly there seems to be one that is always by itself and the other two are still together. They never appear at the same time. I am wondering why one of them seems to suddenly be an outcast. Is this common? Is there a possible reason why one of them seems to be shunned? I feel so badly for the one that is now alone. Thank you for any information you can give me.
