May I suggest you update your info to mention

First, thank you for having this site and all of it's info available! Next, not a question as much as a suggestion: I recently visited your page: http://ento.psu.edu/extension/factsheets/pennsylvania-wood-cockroaches due to finding a large # of these creatures - in our compost bin!!! The bin has been there for years without them, but now it is infested. Unfortunately, the bin is very close to the house, and occasionally 1 gets inside which freaks me out. May I suggest you update your info to mention this reality and maybe save someone else from having to deal with it? Thanks, and God bless you!

Help identify ant

Out of nowhere I have noticed ants in my kitchen and bathroom. I live in a garden apartment. My kitchen and bathroom have ajoining walls. I will attach some pics of an ant I was able to take a pic of yesterday while it was in my bathroom sink. This issue started about a week ago. I see about 2 or so per day. I have put down Boric acid as well as traps. I was especially freaked out when my saw one roaming around my silverware drawer. I would appreciate any assistance!! Thanks!!

Black bugs on deck

I noticed a large amount of these black, mite looking bugs on my deck- done with wings some without. They move relatively slow and are new- I’ve had the deck over 15 years and this is the first time seeing them. Any idea what they are and how to safely remove? I have pets and children. Thank you!

Yoshino Cherry Tree leaves dried up

I planted this about a month ago and it was doing just fine. The past week the leaves have dried up and seems to be slowly dying. Can anyone determine what the problem is?
