Iris not re-blooming

Approximately 3-5 years ago , I purchased and planted Bearded Iris and Re-blooming iris as instructed. Of the 5-10 plants maybe only two or three bloomed the next year. Each year since, I continue/expect to see them bloom, but nothing but foliage. At the end of each year, I cut back their foliage like recommend and it come back slow on the strong side, but like years past, only the foliage comes back. No stems or flowers in sight. What might possibly be wrong? If it's a fertilizer issue or what and what would you recommend?

Transplanting in Winter?

Hi there, I planted some small evergreens in some big flower boxes we built for the front of our restaurant. I left them in our unheated warehouse in Oneonta, NY 13820 and went away for a few weeks. When we returned and went to set them out I had put them in backwards. The bottom of the boxes was designed to match the slope of the sidewalk. So I tried to dig them up but the ground is partially frozen. I am wondering if there is any way to dig them up, warm the soil enough to dig them up and replant them. Could I pour warm water on the soil? Could I run a propane torpedo heater (not too close) on them for a while? could I put them under an upright propane heater (umbrella style?) It is not a permanent situation. Just winter decor.
hope I find someone who can help. thanks so much,
Rose

Rhodedendrons desperately need cutting back as well as my evergreen hedge. What do I do?

They all are radically overgrown and need to be really cut back. From what I have read January is the time to do this.Is this so? I have had no luck with gardening people around here who just want to cut my lawn every week (I cut my lawn myself). I think they need a severe cut back. I cant cut the hedge myself as it is so high. Can the evergreen hedge be cut back to half its size without killing it? I think I could manage cutting it in half. Thanks for your advice.

Forsythia's failed to flower for second year

I live in Zone 5 growing area in upstate NY. Last year and this year my well established (3) forsythia's bushes (8+years each) have failed to flower as beautifully and as full, like past years. Nothing has changed, same soil, don't fertilize, same location and same sun, but they start showing and follow through with the foliage as if they flowered. As look across the street from where I live, there is a forsythia bush older than mine, and it has fully flowered again as usual .
