Curly willow plant diseases

My curly willow plant has started to have what appears to be a fine white dust on the leaves, and the leaves seem to be losing there color. Pest, bug, disease? Any ideas?

Fire blight in pear trees

Hello,

We two pear trees that we believe have been hit hard with fire blight. One lost almost all its leaves this summer, the second tree about half (see attached photo). Are these trees worth saving? If so, how should we treat them? If not, how should we have them taken down -- and how should we handle/dispose of the limbs?

Thanks,

linda

Why are my chives curling and browning at the top?

I have two large pots full of thriving chives in my hoop house. We haven't had very much sun over the past week and I noticed this morning that the top 1/3 to 1/4 of many of the chives were curling downward and appeared dead or rotting (just the curling part, the rest looked great). What might be causing this?

It appears that my Rose of Sharon bushes are being devoured by a Hibiscus...

It appears that my Rose of Sharon bushes are being devoured by a Hibiscus Leaf Caterpillar

They have eaten the tops down to the stems. Is there any way to get rid of them? Will it damage the shrubs permanently and will they return next year?

Thank you very much.

Legality of selling mushrooms from purchased spawn and then grown in logs.

I have started growing shiitake and oyster mushrooms in logs from spawn (inoculated dowels) from a reputable mushroom company. My question is, from a legal standpoint, if I sell these mushrooms to farmers markets, friends etc, what concerns should I have? Thanks, Dominic
