Seedlings stopped growing

Hello I am trying to grow watermelon and cantaloupe by starting seeds inside I planted them in peat pods in a self watering tray they sprouted grew long stems and their two sprout leaves. I kept the lid closed for about two weeks on a heater vent where there is low light which is why i assume my plants got leggy now for 1 week they have had a grow light in them there has been no change in anything they haven't turned towards the light nor have they gotten any bigger or grew any more leaves. Are they just working

Cleaning interval

How frequently does a cistern need to be cleaned? I found recommendations saying that an annual cleaning is recommended, but talking to most owners, I get the feeling that none of them actually does any cleaning at all (as long as they don't have too much "stuff" accumulating in the tank and as long as the tank is underground. Do you have any recommendations? By the way, the cistern, which I am planning is going to be located in the Caribbean (Grenada).

Any idea what type of bug this is?

I've found two of these small (Less than 1/4 inch) - six leg, dark colored with a light stripe in the middle - bugs, but haven't been able to identify them... any guess?

Best Cover-Crop for Leaving the Garden for the Summer

We are going on a long (six-week) camping trip this summer and have decided to not plant our usual vegetable garden in raised beds. I was thinking that planting a cover crop might be a good idea to improve soil health and suppress weeds. We'll be gone from the end of June to early August. If a cover crop is a good idea, what would be the best one to choose? I don't want something that will become a weed itself if it left unattended too long.
