Is it an hybrid or just a cross

In hybridization, pollination is carefully controlled to ensure that the right plants are crossed to achieve a combination of characteristics, like bigger size and better disease resistance, etc. The process of developing a hybrid typically requires many years.

So it is my opinion that any crosses whether they be intentional or an act of nature result in a cross unless you follow up the cross year after year always pollinating for specific color, size, shape etc. If you do not follow up on the original cross pollination for years you do not have a hybrid!

Would this be correct?
